WHO WEARS THE CROWN?? INAUGURAL MISS GHANA SOUTH AFRICA

Miss Ghana SA 2016The inaugural Miss Ghana South Africa, came off yesternight, 27th August, 2016, at the plush Bryanston Country Club. The event, organised by the Miss Ghana South Africa team, in partnership with the Ghana High Commission, was very well attended with pomp and pageantry.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, His Excellency Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi and his wife, Mrs. Ewura-Abena Ahwoi, as well as the Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Francis Osei-Sarfo, and other officials of the Ghana High Commission.

The eight finalists took turns on the grand stage to showcase their respective talents, skill, general knowledge, poise and beauty to the excitement of the enthralled audience. At the end of the night, Ms. Michelle Danso won the coveted title of ‘Miss Ghana South Africa 2016’. Her crown prize was a whopping one hundred thousand rands (R100,000).

Hannah Adu came up as the first runner up with an award of thirty-five thousand rands (R35,000), whilst Ms. Nana Ama Agyeiwa was selected as the second runner up, with an award of twenty-two thousand rands (R22,000).

Guest Artistes at the event were Drumpipo Ensemble, Demtinz and Polamo who thrilled the audience with outstanding musical performances.

It was indeed a night to remember, and once again Ghana was highlighted on the national scene of South Africa.
